Sr. Application Tester(QA)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Software Tester with experience of 4+yrs who will be responsible for the quality and reliability of our software products. The Software Tester will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. We are looking for one who have experience on developing a test strategy, creating an impact matrix, planning the first round of testing, and managing regression testing and also know the impact of one module on other applications.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for delivering flawless user experiences.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
2. Perform manual testing to identify defects, document issues, and track their resolution through to completion.
3. Work closely with product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and functional specifications.
4. Document and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test results, and testing reports.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing trends to incorporate them into the testing process.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a similar testing role.
3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
4. Proficiency in manual testing techniques and experience in creating test plans and test cases/scenarios and use cases.
5. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure or any other similar tool).
6. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) is a plus (Not Mandatory).
7. Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
10. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
